Who I am

Senior Platform Engineer / SRE with 10+ years of experience building scalable cloud and Kubernetes platforms, with strong expertise in GCP, Terraform, GitOps and infrastructure automation.

A quick overview of my background and what I focus on day to day.

Since December 2018 I've worked inside Renault Group's Cloud & Platform organization, on the same core Kubernetes environment, across three roles: first migrating applications to the cloud as part of the Cloud Transformation program, then maintaining and evolving the Kubernetes platform, and now running the Software Factory that engineering teams build on every day.

Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab, Config Connector and GCP are the tools I use every day. What matters most to me is making a platform simple and reliable: clear documentation, solid runbooks, and migrations that go unnoticed because nothing breaks.

Nov 2024 — Present

Software Factory Platform Engineer Current

  • Own and continuously evolve Renault Group's Software Factory platform running on GKE, including GitLab, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
  • Led the migration of SonarQube from AWS to Google Cloud Platform.
  • Design Private Service Connect architectures for secure cross-project service connectivity on GCP.
  • Build serverless components (Cloud Run, Cloud Functions) to automate platform operations.
  • Drove continuous platform modernization by migrating GCP resource management from Terraform to Config Connector and transitioning the Software Factory ingress from NGINX Ingress Controller to Envoy Gateway ahead of end of support.
  • Promoted a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging the adoption of new tools and practices to enhance platform efficiency and reliability.

Kubernetes Platform Engineer

  • Designed, built and operated Renault's shared Kubernetes platform on GKE, serving product and development teams across the organization.
  • Automated GKE cluster and platform provisioning using Terraform and Config Connector, with Argo CD for GitOps-based delivery.
  • Provided and maintained reusable platform capabilities for observability, security, secrets management, networking, backup and application delivery.
  • Maintained and evolved the Helm charts used to deploy and manage the core Kubernetes platform components in a standardized way.
  • Collaborated with development teams to ensure platform capabilities met their needs and facilitated efficient application delivery.
  • Actively participated in platform design discussions and contributed to the evolution of the platform roadmap.
